Sapphirine–quartz granulites from the Cocachacra region of the Arequipa Massif in southern Peru record early Neoproterozoic ultrahigh‐temperature metamorphism. Phase equilibrium modelling and zircon petrochronology are used to quantify timing and pressure–temperature (P–T) conditions of metamorphism. Modelling of three magnetite‐bearing sapphirine–quartz samples indicates peak temperatures of >950°C at ~0.7 GPa and a clockwise P–T evolution. Elevated concentrations of Al in orthopyroxene are also consistent with ultrahigh‐temperature conditions. Neoblastic zircon records ages of c. 1.0–0.9 Ga that are interpreted to record protracted ultrahigh‐temperature metamorphism. Th/U ratios of zircon of up to 100 reflect U‐depleted whole‐rock compositions. Concentrations of heavy rare earth elements in zircon do not show systematic trends with U–Pb age but do correlate with variable whole‐rock compositions. Very large positive Ce anomalies in zircon from two samples probably relate to strongly oxidizing conditions during neoblastic zircon crystallization. Low concentrations of Ti‐in‐zircon (<10 ppm) are interpreted to result from reduced titania activities due to the strongly oxidized nature of the granulites and the sequestration of titanium‐rich minerals away from the reaction volume. Whole‐rock compositions and oxidation state have a strong influence on the trace element composition of metamorphic zircon, which has implications for interpreting the geological significance of ages retrieved from zircon in oxidized metamorphic rocks.  相似文献

帕莱通铁矿床是老挝万象—呵叻中新生代盆地中最大规模的铁矿床,分为东、西2个矿段,西矿段为豆状、块状富磁铁矿矿体,东部则主要发育角砾状贫赤铁矿矿体。其中,西矿段主要产于新生代富铁质玄武岩中。文章对西矿段中豆状、块状磁铁矿进行了详细的野外地质调查和显微结构分析,发现块状磁铁矿具有细粒他形结构特征,豆状磁铁矿具有球粒同心圆状结构特征。对较为新鲜的磁铁矿进行电子探针(EPMA)以及激光剥蚀电感耦合等离子质谱(LA-ICP-MS)分析显示:帕莱通铁矿床磁铁矿TiO_2-Al_2O_3-MgO三角图落入岩浆岩区域;微量元素富集V、Ti、Cr、Co、Ni及Ga等元素,亏损Sr、Ba及Mg等不相容元素;w(Co)和w(Ni)较高,且较高的Ni/Co比值可以反映成因与深源物质;w(Ti)较高且Ni/Cr比值≤1,在Ti-Ni/Cr图中落入了热液型磁铁矿的范围;Ga-Sn图解表明磁铁矿属于斑岩型热液成因;(Ca+Al+Mn)-(Ti+V)或Ni/(Cr+Mn)-(Ti+V)成因判别图显示该矿床兼具Kiruna型和斑岩型矿床的特征;w(V)表明磁铁矿在较低氧化环境中形成;(Al+Mn)-(Ti+V)形成温度判别图表明磁铁矿形成温度处于300~500℃范围内。文章认为帕莱通铁矿床成矿物质主要源于岩浆演化作用形成的富铁流体,后期由于岩浆热液流体的交代作用,使得磁铁矿具有了热液成因的特征。岩浆型矿床类型在老挝及邻区分布较为广泛,研究帕莱通铁矿的成因,对于总结区域成矿规律,指导同类型矿床找矿预测具有重要意义。  相似文献

在对青藏高原东南缘地区的理塘左旋走滑活动断裂带野外调查研究中,在其奔戈- 村戈段开挖了两个探槽LT1301和SLT1204。在对两个探槽上所揭示出的古地震事件进行详细划分的基础上,结合所获得的10个OSL年代样品和13个14C年代样品的测试年龄,对理塘断裂带北段的古地震事件发生时代进行了厘定。结果表明2个探槽共揭示出至少4次古地震事件,其中小规模的探槽LT1301仅揭示出1次古地震,可能为发生于公元1729年的历史地震,或是可能发生于距现在950a~1. 0ka之间的一次大地震,由于关键部位年代数据不足,上述两种可能性尚无法明确。较大的探槽SLT1204揭示出包含有探槽LT1301中古地震事件在内的古地震4次,最早的古地震事件I发生于9. 9ka之前,而事件II、III和IV则发生在公元1729年~4. 8kaBP之间,复发间隔为约1. 6ka。川西理塘断裂带北段的古地震研究结果表明,该断裂的大地震复发具有非线性特征,不符合特征地震模式,其中全新世晚期的大地震活动频率明显增大,表明它正处于丛集活动阶段。  相似文献

帕米尔高原上广泛分布的加里东期火山岩,印支期火山岩与燕山期火山岩被认为是块体依次向北俯冲拼贴到欧亚板块上的产物。特别是燕山期火山岩被认为是Rushan-Pshart中特提斯洋闭合的产物。但近年来地层古生物、火山岩证据不断表明Rushan-Pshart洋闭合时间在晚三叠一早侏罗世,由此限定Rushan-Pshart古特提斯洋性质,而帕米尔高原上广泛分布的燕山期火山岩是更南部的Shyok中特提斯洋闭合的产物。目前,中国境内Rushan-Pshart缝合带属性的研究工作展开较晚,研究程度较低。我们对塔什库尔干明铁盖沟一线燕山期火山岩带展开的工作发现零星分布的印支期花岗岩。印支期花岗岩错石U・Pb年龄显示岩体侵位时间在201 Ma左右。全岩主量元素特征表明岩石为I型高钾钙碱性闪长花岗岩;稀土元素在球粒陨石标准化图解中呈轻稀土元素相对富集,重稀土元素相对亏损的右倾海鸥型。明铁盖岩体的微量元素显示大离子亲石元素明显富集,而高场强元素明显亏损。稀土微量元素特征倾向花岗岩属性为岛弧型花岗岩,Sr-Nd-Hf同位素比值特征显示岩体形成于下地壳部分熔融环境。岩体的地化特征表明岩体形成的构造环境为板块汇聚的洋壳俯冲阶段,结合区域地质特征,我们将花岗岩体归为Rushan-Pshart古特提斯洋壳俯冲消减的产物。Rushan-Pshart缝合带传统上认为是中特提斯带,近年的研究进展认为其为古特提斯缝合带,本文的工作支持这种观点。Rushan-Pshart古特提斯缝合带的确立对帕米尔高原与青藏高原主体的块体对比提供了可信的对比方案,并对青藏高原新生代陆内变形方式的争论提供了可靠的证据。  相似文献

Numerous lenses of garnet amphibolite occur in the garnet-bearing biotite-plagioclase gneiss belt in the Baishan area of the Beishan Orogen,which connects the Tianshan Orogen to the west and the Mongolia-Xing'anling Orogen to the east.The study of metamorphism in Beishan area is of great significance to explain the tectonic evolution of Beishan orogen.According to the microstructures,mineral relationships,and geothermobarometry,we identified four stages of mineral assemblages from the garnet amphibolite sample:(1) a pre-peak stage,which is recorded by the cores of garnet together with core-inclusions of plagioclase(Pl_1);(2) a peak stage,which is recorded by the mantles of garnet together with mantle-inclusions of plagioclase(Pl_2)+amphibole(Amp_1)+Ilmenite(Ilm_1)+biotite(Bt_1),developed at temperature-pressure(P-T) conditions of 818.9-836.5℃ and7.3-9.2 kbar;(3) a retrograde stage,which is recorded by garnet rims + plagioclase(Pl_3)+amphibole(Amp_2)+orthopyroxene(Opx_1)+biotite(Bt_2)+Ilmenite(Ilm_2),developed at P-T conditions of 796.1-836.9℃ and5.6-7.5 kbar;(4) a symplectitic stage,which is recorded by plagioclase(Pl_4)+orthopyroxene(Opx_2)+amphibole(Amp_3)+biotite(Bt_3) symplectites,developed at P-T conditions of 732 ±59.6℃ and 6.1 ±0.6 kbar.Moreover,the U-Pb dating of the Beishan garnet amphibolite indicates an age of 301.9 ±4.7 Ma for the protolith and 281.4±8.5 Ma for the peak metamorphic age.Therefore,the mineral assemblage,P-T conditions,and zircon U-Pb ages of the Beishan garnet amphibolite define a near-isothermal decompression of a clockwise P-T-t(Pressure-Temperature-time) path,indicating the presence of over thickened continental crust in the Huaniushan arc until the Early Permian,then the southern Beishan area underwent a process of thinning of the continental crust.  相似文献

The Dongyang gold deposit is a newly discovered epithermal deposit in Fujian Province, Southeast China, along the Circum-Pacific metallogenic belt. Herewith, the authors present mineralogical, scanning electron microscope, and laser ablation inductively coupled clasma mass spectrometry analysis to reveal the relations between Au and Te, As, S, Fe, etc., and discuss the gold precipitation process. The pyrites in this deposit are Fe-deficient, and are enriched in Te and As. The authors infer that As was mainly in form of As-complexes, and Te-Au-Ag inclusions/solid solution also exsits in the Py I. Along with the depletion of Te and As, they were less active chemically in the Py II, and Au may be incorporated into As-rich and Fe-deficient surface sites by chemisorption onto As-rich growth surfaces. Because of the incorporation of new fluid, Te and As became the most active chemically in the Py III, which was the main elements precipitation stage, and As dominantly substituted for S in the lattice of pyrite, due to the more reducing condition. The authors propose Au was in form of invisible gold, and the incorporation of gold can be considered as post-pyrite event, while the Au-bearing minerals were result of post incorporation of gold in arsenian pyrite.  相似文献

A combined U–Pb zircon geochronological and whole-rock isotopic and geochemical study has been carried out on high-grade orthogneiss, meta-basite, and meta-sediments from the Erzgebirge. The results indicate multiple pulses of Ediacaran–Ordovician magmatism in a transitional volcanic-arc to rift-basin setting. Orthogneiss from high-pressure nappes exhibit a step-like pattern of inherited zircon ages and emplacement ages of 500–475 Ma. In contrast, granite gneiss from the medium-pressure core of the Erzgebirge is characterised by three pulses of magmatism in the Early Cambrian, Late Cambrian, and Early Ordovician. A trend of decreasing Th/U ratios in zircon is observed to c.500 Ma, after which significant increases in the trend and variability of the data is inferred to mark the transition from arc-related to rift-related magmatism. Sediments deposited in the Early Cambrian have continental island arc affinity. Major detrital peaks in the Ediacaran and subordinate Tonian, Palaeoproterozoic, and Neoarchaean data are consistent with an Avalonian-Cadomian Arc and West African Craton derivation. The Early Cambrian sediments were locally reworked by a thermal event in the Ordovician resulting in leucocratic banding and recorded in Ordovician zircon rims characterised by systematically lower Th/U ratios. Ptygmatically folded leucocratic bands containing Ordovician zircon rims, associated with low Th/U ratios, are further observed in the granite gneiss core of the Erzgebirge. Variscan ages are rare, except in a fine-grained high-pressure micaschist, which contains exclusively small, structure-less, zircon with a weighted mean age of 350 ± 2 Ma. These data, along with a re-evaluation of previously published data, have been interpreted as the product of flattening subduction during the Early Cambrian; followed by the opening of slab windows in the Late Cambrian; and finally delamination in the Early Ordovician. Delamination of the orphaned slab led to asthenospheric upwellings triggering extension, bimodal magmatic pulses, recycling of fertile crust, high-temperature metamorphism, and cratonisation of relatively young crust.  相似文献

Stable isotopes of water have been widely used in understanding the hydrological functions of alpine inland catchments. This study identifies dominant runoff generation mechanisms based on isotopic data (δ18O and δ2H) of 487 rainwater and river-water samples from three tributaries in the Tarim River Basin in China for the period May–September 2013. The isotope hydrograph separation results provide a comprehensive overview of the rainfall influence on hydrological processes. Stream water and groundwater have varied responses to different intensities of rainfall events. Only a small proportion of rainfall is directly transported to the stream during such events. An inconsistent temporal trend of event water contribution is observed in the three catchments. The average fractional contributions of rainfall for the Tizinafu, Kumalak and Huangshuigou rivers are 10.3% (±1.1%), 9.7% (±2.9%) and 8.7% (±2.4%), respectively.  相似文献

新构造运动系指晚新生代以来的构造运动,其在天然地震研究、煤田地质与油气勘探、城市建设等领域均具有重要的意义。以淮南顾桥煤矿为研究区,结合区域构造背景和顾桥煤矿的地震地质条件,利用地震解释中的层拉平技术恢复研究区典型剖面的古构造地貌,厘定了各条断层的时空配置关系;结合13块钻孔岩心样品的ESR和热释光年龄,定量分析了断层的发育年代。结果表明:研究区存在新构造运动,且与地震层拉平构造演化预测结论吻合;研究成果对于顾桥煤矿的设计和安全生产的意义。  相似文献

为确定容果地区二长花岗岩的形成时代、成因及其地质意义,对容果地区二长花岗岩进行了岩相学、LA-ICP-MS锆石U-Pb年龄及地球化学研究。结果表明: 二长花岗岩中的锆石为岩浆成因,206Pb/238U年龄加权平均值为(69±1) Ma,侵入时代属于晚白垩世; 二长花岗岩中Al2O3含量为13.83%~14.41%,Na2O含量为3.68%~3.94%,K2O含量为4.28%~4.35%, K2O/Na2O为1.08~1.18,相对富钾,铝饱和指数A/CNK平均为1.02,属弱过铝质岩石; 微量元素特征表现为相对富集Rb、U、K等大离子亲石元素,亏损Nb、Ta、Ti等高场强元素的特征。结合区域构造演化背景,可得出在80~69 Ma之间,该区的岩浆活动并未停止,仍然持续在发生,所生成的岩体是新特提斯洋壳俯冲的岩浆产物,形成于造山环境下,形成过程贯穿整个造山运动。  相似文献
